The woman state prosecutors determined falsely accused three Duke lacrosse players of rape maintains in a memoir that she was attacked.

I’m certain that all the parents feel like they know what Hell is now. 18 years isn’t enough. It devalues the lives of not one, but two young people with much promise. 18 years is cheap, because it makes the assumption that ‘time’ is the way to ‘pay back’. Time and/or death. As is, all of them will be sitting around a very long time, lying in their bunks, eating their shitty prison food on our dime, working out, watching TV. At the very least they should be forced into redundant, boring hard labor. Yes, you heard me right. You can’t function in society enough to be civilized and not kill people or aid/abet them? Yeah, you can be a slave to the State, like the rest of us, only you go ‘home’ to where WE say. Just doing time isn’t enough to pay back for the loss of Channon and Chris, and like I said, it cheapens their existence, what they had already accomplished, the importance and investment of their families, and the promise their lives still held. Their lives being worth roughly 9 years each is a predictable but pathetic display of how our current ‘justice’ system works. What it says to me is that in lieu of what the jurors would have liked to have happen, they are giving him as much as they could. I used to be on the fence with the death penalty- now I would pay to see the rest of them get executed. Properly.

18 years isn’t enough , the destroyers of beautiful and good people. They should all die, and not by going to sleep by some magic death potion. They tortured these kids, I don’t care if boyd didn’t do it himself- he could have done something, he could have – you don’t have to be particularly smart to know what was going on was wrong and make an effort to stop it. If boyd left, knowing at least Channon was still alive and let them continue, then he should go to the gallows too. What kind of message is it sending to not kill boyd as well? Your friends can torture, rape and kill and you just happened to be there, you’re a-ok? We know there had to be some kind of plea deal where boyd gave the lawyers some gory details in exchange for not doing longer. 18 years isn’t even as old as either of them, not to mention the rest of the years they might have lived as valuable assets to the community, loved by their friends and family- the children they will never have. The 18 years seems a joke when we think of what is lost here. And we get to pay for it. Too bad boyd didn’t rat them out, when he left that hellhouse- they might have surrounded the place, Channon might still be alive, and the cops might have killed the others.
The parents, it is just heartbreaking to watch them on the videos and see how their lives as well have been destroyed by these.. I don’t even want to say ‘animals’ as animals don’t do things like this. It’s just Evil, manifesting itself, and perpetrating itself upon us, and we are supposed to say “oh we feel sorry for you, we know you’re not as ‘privileged’ as we supposedly all are- therefore we deserve to be raped, and tortured and killed. Every vicious act upon whites is justified, go ahead, help yourselves, no problem, we will just pay reparations for slavery continuously just as we pay for more useless social programs that put similac and free rent into creating more boyds and letalvises. I was relieved I did not hear that from these parents, though we did hear from Newsom’s disillusioned dad, how both kids tried to help black kids and had done more in their short lives than boyd had ever done- and makes mention of some black kid they knew that didn’t have any transportation that Channon and Chris must have helped somehow. I doubt Newsom’s mention of that inspired any kind fof remorse or guilt in boyd, whom according to Newsom, had many felonies BEFORE the murders and he asks “why must we be exposed to these repeat criminals? ” (paraphrased) Channon’s dad has earned the right to Officially Hate. He makes a powerful statement, when he says he hates boyd on the video. I have children and I hate boyd too.

In making his own statement, Eric Boyd described to Judge Thomas Varlan the series of events as he remembered them.
“I’m asking for the mercy of the court. I didn’t have to do this, but I did it to make sure this man (Davidson) didn’t hurt nobody else,” Boyd said.
I didn’t have to do this. Make sure he didn’t hurt anyone else. Yeah right. #1, obviously he made no move to stop what was in progress or alert the cops when it was happening. He gives his statement after the fact, when he is already named, there is no way to skate out, and maybe by telling he gets a break. Yeah Eric DeWayne Boyd, you’re a real hero, you’re real swell. You’re asking for MERCY? Where was your mercy for what was happening to Channon and Chris? Oh yeah, there wasn’t any. Obviously the jury agrees.
The Evil creature that is boyd and the others took away what was most precious to these parents- their children. Of COURSE Gary Christian hates him. It’s not Evil and Wrong to Hate someone who either helped or walked away from people killing , raping, making your daughter drink drano- and so on- I’d want to pull the switch/trigger myself. The only catch is- whatever one believes about the death penalty, in many cases legal punishments are simply not enough. Gary Christian doesn’t only hate because boyd and others took his daughter away, after no doubt using her in every way possible. Read through new initiatives carefully. They may try to MAKE new bills sound like they are on your side, but more-often-than-not, they aren’t. They are only trying to come up with More Government, More bureaucracy, More Feel-Good Tax Write-Offs that pay the salaries of their friends- Vote AGAINST these propositions. This stuff is beyond Dem/Rep. You don’t have to have this middleman if you want to help someone YOU think is OK. As I said, we want to feel like we have say, like we have control, like we -through our votes or otherwise are Helping Fix Society. But sadly, sometimes there is no ‘fix’. You don’t do this to innocent people because your life is f#cked, you don’t do this because you’re poor, because in your neighborhood-people are violent and kill each other, so you can’t be any different. The “we’re being targeted, we’re being profiled..” Those are made-up concepts. You are looked at with suspicion because YOU do it MORE. KNOXVILLE (WVLT) – On Wednesday, the first man to stand trial in connection with the carjacking and murder of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom was sentenced to 18 years in prison for his role as an accessory.
Judge Thomas Varlan handed down the sentence just after 4:00 PM. It was the maximum prison term that Eric Dewayne Boyd could have received.

“I hate him, I hate what he did and we all know what he did,” said Gary Christian. “We know why he was convicted right here in this court.
“The pain, suffering and humiliation that they suffered is beyond words from what i have found,” said Hugh Newsom, Christopher’s father.
Prosecutors opened the day by listing Boyd’s extensive criminal history, which once included nine robberies over a two and a half month long stretch alone. Boyd also spent several years in prison before his release about four years before the Christian/Newsom murders.
“It’s pathetic those people were ever out on the street to commit that crime,” said Newsom.
Boyd took the stand for about 10 minutes during the sentencing phase. It was the first time some of the victims’ family members had a chance to hear from him.
“He never showed any remorse and kept saying that because of what he did, they should take away time he should have to serve,” said Dave Bowers, Newsom’s brother-in-law.
The sentencing lasted all day, and after nearly 50 separate hearings in the trial alone, both families seemed mostly pleased with the outcome.
“I told my son that we would get these guys, no matter where they were,” said Mary Newsom, Christopher’s Mother. “I believe we’ve got them and we’re on our way.”
Gary Christian said that even though he got the chance to tell Boyd of his hatred toward him, it didn’t make the pain of Channon’s murder any easier to bear.
“When I get to where I’m going and put my arms around her, then I’ll feel better,” he said.
Both families agree Boyd’s conviction and sentencing was the first battle in a long war they must fight to seek justice for Channon and Christopher. The next suspect who will stand trial in connection to the carjacking and double murder is Letalvis Cobbins. Barring any changes, he will face a jury in January 2009.
The remains of the man who first crossed the Atlantic Ocean more than 500 years ago could be in either the Old World of Europe or the New World of the Americas…or both! Although this mystery will never be solved, the fact that Christopher Columbus’ ashes are shared by the two worlds he helped connect seems poetically appropriate.

I thought PETA was more of a hippie-chick college thing, but upon further research I discovered the animal rights umbrella is a lot bigger than previously thought. Like Dita Von Teese (Marilyn Manson’s ex and goth/retro model) I know, I thought that couldn’t be true, she must wear fur having a liking for the old style of clothing etc., and we won’t even talk about leather, but…it’s true!
I like animals, I have had ‘in the wild’ pet deer. I watched a baby seal on the beach for hours waiting for the marine people to come get it. But….. I’m not an ‘Animal Activist’. I still eat meat- not eating it much more a matter of health, age, taste and economics more than a political statement, and though it would be really hard to eat something I once had as a pet, I’d do it to survive. I own leather boots , coats, bags, have some fur on a few items, so PETA would not be pleased with that. I only have inherited goldfish as pets. I don’t worry about dog parks. Not a “I don’t eat anything with a face” types- saw that on a bumpersticker. Even so, I say if you are going to kill it, at least eat it. Kill for self-defense, or food, not for kicks or ritual sacrifice. There are penty of other ways to atone than making some helpless creature do it in your stead.
I’m telling you all this because I want you to know I’m not putting this up because I’m One Of Them, one that harbors ethno-loyalty AND a secret PETA person. Nope. I can’t believe what so-called humans do to each other. When we see this, we often remark “Animals! They’re just like animals! ” Usually animals act violently in self-defense or to simply survive, not just because they can. Maybe we need an Animals for the Ethical Treatment of People. AETP? Or, the UnEvolved for Respecting Homo-Sapiens. URHS?
Sometimes I even feel guilty that I’m not as into these causes as a lot of people out here. I’m more concerned with the slaughter happening in the endless illegitimate Iraq war, drive-by shootings, illegal aliens offing people in SF and the general malaise and lies that are perpetrated and perpetuated in the media that makes us all sick than for chickens and bunnies. Gotta admit though, in actually looking at what they are protesting- it IS pretty disgusting, this kapparot slaughtering. Eww. They swing the chicken over their heads, then kill it. Supposedly this atones for their sins and by sundown they are pure again. Some articles say the ritual’s origins are pagan. Maybe ancient pagan. In my 20’s I knew wicca-pagan people and a lot of them were vegetarians- I certainly never saw anything get slaughtered, or killed, ritually or otherwise. A bunch of fat hippie-liberal types dancing around maypoles seems pretty mild compared to this Jacob-The-Ripper-esque stuff.
Websites say this ritual/day is for atoning for sins between you and God, not between you and anyone in particular. People who disparage PETA say they extremist, but I don’t think I have heard them called ‘haters’ or ‘anti-carnivortic’. NYC rabbi reports threats from PETA supporters over ritual chicken slaughter

NEW YORK — New York City police are investigating a rabbi’s complaint about getting thousands of threatening emails from supporters of an animal rights group
Rabbi Shea Hecht of the National Committee for Furtherance of Jewish Education says the emails concern the ritual slaughter of chickens before the Yom Kippur holiday.
They appeared to have been sent by supporters of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
Police say some people added threatening and anti-Semitic comments to an online PETA form letter.
Hecht’s Brooklyn-based organization slaughters about 4,000 chickens each year.
A PETA spokesman says the ritual is abusive and unnecessary.
They should just take it further and just finish off ALL Bratz period. A big Bratz bonfire. If that can’t be arranged, an incinerator would probably be better for air-quality concerns. The idea behind these little abominations is that their appeal lies in their almost direct polarity with Barbie. Barbie at least didn’t start out to be ghetto. Not sure what she’s like these days. RIVERSIDE, California: Barbie-maker Mattel Inc. filed court papers asking a federal judge to block its competitor MGA Entertainment Inc. from making or selling Bratz dolls.
A Riverside, Calif., jury in August awarded Mattel $100 million in copyright infringement and contract damages. Mattel had argued that the pouty and multiethnic Bratz dolls that MGA started selling in 2001 are substantially similar to drawings made by a former Barbie doll designer. The same jury found that designer Carter Bryant made the sketches when he was at Mattel in 1999 and 2000.

Stuart Taylor is dead on in his analysis/assessment/dissection/indictment of the Duke Rape Farce. He chronicles the case in depth, going into important details and inconsistencies regarding the accuser’s statements and the DNA results . In this audio we learn a lot of things that were not widely covered in the media or covered at all regarding Mike Nifong and what his agenda may have been in pursuing the case even after the DNA results excluded the students in question. Nifong wanting to stay in his position so as to get his pension, which was three years away- Nifong wanting to win the black democratic vote by still defending the false accuser even after the boys were proven innocent.Nifong hiding the DNA results from the defense for months, while the media machine churned on about Evil White Men and their supposed historical and endless abuse of black women.
Taylor addresses many other aspects of the case, including accusations of ‘racism’ and is very familiar with the many characters involved in this story and their roles/ He knows who skated off to what school, and who is unrepentant. There is a question and answer at the end, one question asked was “why didn’t anyone go after the accuser?” Attorney general Roy Cooper stated that she was mentally ill, and pursuing a case against her would inflame racial tensions. Taylor says that Duke itself was afraid there might have been riots, and there might have been walkouts by hospital staff which could have shut down the school, and rips the local paper for hugely dishonest reporting and says that Jesse Jackson stated that he would pay the dancer’s way through college whether or not she was lying.

I’m beginning to think this ‘race did/didn’t matter’ nonsense is like minutes on a cell phone. When you don’t use them one month, if you have a good plan, you can roll them over to the next month when they may or may not be needed, depending on how media wants to spin the story. You see how sometimes they say ‘race has nothing to do with it’ – as in the Channon Christian/Chris Newsom murders, in which both of them were also sexually assaulted and tortured, and sometimes the media says race has everything to do with it. Even when the ubiquitous It, didn’t even happen. In one case three young, bright lives were almost ruined by a false accusation. In the other 2 young bright lives were snuffed out after being tortured and raped, and there was no ‘made-up’ about any of it. Yet we are supposed to believe race had ‘nothing to do with it’, or that ‘wrong place, wrong time’, or ‘they could have picked anyone’. Yeah, Right. I notice the news was quite lively over the alleged assault of this dancer/escort/whatever when it involved young White men as suspects.The accuser has walked away and from doing news searches on her, is apparently writing a book while the three boys are probably struggling to rebuild their lives, reputations, and relationship with their parents and friends- not to mention financial and continuing legal stress.

A Knoxville company is putting an end to what it calls the “death house next door.”
Waste Connections of Tennessee plans to demolish the house on Chipman Street where Channon Christian was found dead in January 2007. Chris Newsom’s body was found near the railroad tracks across the street from the house.
“When I’m outside, you can’t help but look over at that house, and everytime a train goes by, and it beeps it reminds you of what happened down there,” Waste Connections of Tennessee Division Controller Sherry Tipton said.
Tipton has worked for Waste Connections for more than 20 years, but since the murders, pulling into the parking lot at work means driving by a house with a history next door which is a solemn reminder of rapes, torture, and death within four walls.
Tipton also remembers seeing the four people accused of raping and killing the couple walk by her office window several times before the murders.
“The evil is so horrible to think about what those men did to that girl and to that boy,” Tipton said.
Lemaricus Davidson is one of the four defendants scheduled to go to trial in 2009 for the couple’s rapes and murders. He was the tenant renting the house where investigators say he and some friends took Christian and Newsom after carjacking them at the Washington Ridge Apartments.
Police believe George Thomas, Vanessa Coleman and Letalvis Cobbins were also involved with the killings. Cobbins is the first scheduled to go to trial for capital murder in January 2009.
Earlier this year, Tipton and several employees asked Waste Connections management to add the house next door to an extension plan for the company.
“Since we’re buying that other building is there any chance we expand our parking lot and take down what we call the death house next door,” Tipton explained.
Management agreed and paid $20,000 for the house at 2316 Chipman Street. Tipton says they plan to demolish it in October. Workers will then pave the parking lot and establish a memorial in the slain couple’s honor.
The Christian family is grateful the house will soon be gone. Deena Christian spoke off camera to say she appreciates Waste Connection’s willingness to demolish the house and to honor Channon’s and Chris’ memory. Christian says she and her family plan to be at the demolition and want to somehow be involved with bringing the house down.
The Newsom family is also grateful to hear the house will soon be gone.
“I will still have thoughts of what happened there, that will still be in my mind, I don’t think that will ever be erased, but taking it down will surely help,” Mary Newsom said.
(09-23) 17:06 PDT SAN FRANCISCO — The Bush administration has overturned a 22-year-old policy and now allows customs agents to seize, read and copy documents from travelers at airports and borders without suspicion of wrongdoing, civil rights lawyers in San Francisco said Tuesday in releasing records obtained in a lawsuit.
The records also indicate that the government gives customs agents unlimited authority to question travelers about their religious beliefs and political opinions…. blah blah homeland security, blah blah, smuggled money….
The travelers said customs agents regularly singled them out when they returned from abroad, looked at their papers and laptop computers, and asked them such questions as whom they had seen on their trips, whether they attended mosques and whether they hated the U.S. government.
The 1986 and 2000 policies required agents to meet a more-demanding standard – showing evidence that contained probable cause of smuggling or other wrongdoing – before copying documents, the lawyers’ groups said.
“For more than 20 years, the government implicitly recognized that reading and copying the letters, diaries, and personal papers of travelers without reason would chill Americans’ right to free speech and free expression,” Sinnar said. “But now customs officials can probe into the thoughts and lives of ordinary travelers without any suspicion at all.”

Main point: they can now seize ,copy and snoop through your stuff now even without suspicion, just because they want to, computer included.
I’m wondering what they are looking for at this stage that we don’t already have here? Illegals? Disease? People being gunned down almost every day, like Oakland? They’re worried someone is smuggling illegal currency when we are on the brink of financial collapse? They think the non-border is going to prevent people other than mexicans sneaking in? I try to look at these things like they would, not like how We normally look at things- but you know they are always at least a football field’s length ahead of us. They are obviously doing it as some kind of preparedness for how bad they think things will get, or that people might start leaving the country, taking whatever they have saved with them- ok, maybe that’s a stretch. Someone who knows more about these kind of things than I do can probably better predict what it means, and if it is only another link in the chain of this dystopian age of invasion of privacy and unreasonable search.

Reminded me when I was a kid, and my parents knew some family that had this coat of arms shield in their house, and my dad said we couldn’t get one. “Why the hell not?” I asked, peeved. I now watch with great interest these election speeches and try to understand what I never learned in school. I was steered away from politics, history (“take local history, it’s easier, you’ll get the same credit” ). I thought I didn’t need to know about the world because the trustworthy , super-smart people of good character had it all under control were taking care of business. I was sheltered, I was really that naive. When your parents tell you, “oh vote for this person or that, you ARE for this , aren’t you? You don’t want people to not have food or schools, or be able to get a measles shot ,right?” I don’t know if they put it quite like that- but it was clear they were talking Good Vs Evil, Compassionate vs Gratuitous Animal-Torturing-Greedy King Herod types, and I didn’t have the knowledge or background to understand one way or the other, or what was the source for the various rivers of belief . I was put in the position of trusting whoever was trying to convince me-and without a map or a language translator to know what it all meant- I believed them. Now I don’t like either side, and realize the idea that there is a difference is a scam.

She appeals to the Average Joe & Jane, with plain talk rolling off the same tongue that can also brutally deliver a lashing to those she perceives as boogieing through the campaign a la Deney Terrio on ‘Dance fever’ . With her TelePrompter breaking down, she went on from memory rather than stuttering and waiting for the tech problem to be fixed.
She talks about “Washington Elite”, and not being popular with same. She speaks of serving the people, and not being dependent on foreign sources for oil -which would then disengage us with middle-east, which would be bad for Israel-firsters. She is pro-life, and believes in Jesus. That said, she also makes a big show of pointing out that her son and nephew are headed off to Iraq, and mentions the term ‘Islamo-fascist’. However, she also says there is plenty of oil here. We all know the war isn’t really oil centered, but if people will follow this oil idea, as many of them do believe the Evil Corporations and Oil Conglomerates tale, they will be on board with getting one arm disentangled from the middle-east straitjacket.
However, an even better idea is getting us out of the Insane Asylum that is our foreign policy -a much bigger task, but at least the oil angle is in the right direction. In this paradigm that we exist in an Insane Age, where politicians promote and defend things that don’t make sense, McCain counters Obama’s Magic Gospel of Change, with the brook-no-guff Palin. Or it would appear so. Everything sinking into very limited boxes,both a huge gamble- Magic or War. But we can’t just go on what people say. People swill say almost anything when they want something from you, be it money, a vote- whatever. I’d like to believe Palin is at least sincere about the non war-related issues. I’d like to look at any of them, from either side and believe at least THEY believe it, that it isn’t all posturing- jockeying “Like me, I’m tougher!” , “No , like ME, I’m more compassionate!” “No , like ME, I’m the oldest, youngest, hippest, most experienced, most multicultural, least multicultural, most traditional, least traditional”.. etc.
Besides the fact we must judge what is said in any sales pitch with a critical eye, we must also question are the things stated even true? Are the things they promise to do even possible? And if they are possible, who is to say whether they will actually do them? It isn’t as if anyone is signing any agreements, they are just telling us basically what we want to hear, but that doesn’t mean they will follow through. They want power, they want to win, and we can’t hold them to what they say during the sales pitch. Sure it may look good, sound good, it is supposed to, it is advertising. Just like the show X-files , we want to believe so badly in these people, because there isn’t much to believe in these days. DO we have enough oil here to actually make any significant difference in breaking free of the middle east? Is it enough to really do anything as far as gas prices becoming so high in some cases gas costs more than the job pays. Sure it is to at least some degree. Loss of corporations getting their money from said oil over there means less interest in outcomes/situations there= good. Veto power and getting rid of wasteful spending =good. Warmer than Hillary , cockier and more self-possessed than Obama= good. Talking about small-town America and honesty, sincerity and dignity=good. Not going to Washington to seek the good opinion of the elites but to serve the people=good. The steady gaze, the appeal to the working class= good…
But……Absolutely NO mention of the Illegal Alien Invasion = BAD – McCain and his 100 years war and Palin holding up her oldest son and her nephew as “woo-hoo, they are going over there to risk their lives” for this sham war = possible continuing/escalation to Iran/possible draft= very, very, bad.
All that other stuff was a great pitch, excluding leaving out the illegals, not defending the big Mc’s position on that, just not addressing it at all. Even so, it was going fairly well until she started beating the war drum. She wants to send her kids there, that is her business, but I find it very hard to support someone who seems very invested in the war machine, which could very easily escalate and we could end up losing our children, and financially supporting that debacle for a very long time. I say we don’t have to worry about terrorists half as much if we don’t let them in, and yes that would involve some umm ‘profiling’ and more importantly 2) we disentangle ourselves from the mid-east conflict. Permanently. Let THEM fight it out without help from US. However charming and funny she may be, she is McCain’s malamute and she mushes for HIS sled, regardless of whatever she did in Alaska. We have to remember, it isn’t HER we are voting for, it is still McCain. If Obama gets Biden to make his espresso into a latte (See, White people really DO like me!) then the McCain equivalent would be using Palin to at once reassure and sweet-talk his own, to add some fun and cute to assuage the fears of voters regarding the cranky-sounding , bitter war-vet/mongering ‘extremist’ tag.
Maybe we should all get our own personal VPs who make up for our shortcomings or complement us in ways we are lacking. I bet I could sell that, Your Own VP in one of these new-age airhead rags, or maybe the Robb Report, because it wouldn’t come cheap. You know that creepy trend of having to have coaches for every lifestyle/life event/etc. That said, there is something very Johnny Carson/Ed McMahon clever about the Pres/VP relationship. One gets to be the Official Big Cheese, and one is back-up, that part is certain. The part that is uncertain is who gets to be the straight guy and who gets to be the rock star. One sees this kind of thing play itself out at the workplace, at school functions- Reagan/Bush had that dynamic, as did Clinton/Gore. Bush/Cheney do not. McCain may rank high on the Staid White Man Neo_Con Wet Dream meter, but he can’t compete with His Grooviness’ personality, whereas Palin not only has warmth and humor, is sharper than O, but is almost frightening in her scathing yet Alpha-Wholesomeness. O is many things, but one would not think ‘wholesome and all-American’. O, for all his ethno-hippery, can’t touch dat.

I’m going to try this thing. Some other site said it is java-based and fast. I’m kind of skeptical of what the rest of the article touts as a “minimal interface” as far as the usual buttons on browsers or what this “more organic experience” means. I started using Seamonkey, because it has built in email- much like the old netscape communicator and based on the same source code- however, while receiving mail is fine, sending doesn’t seem to work. I tried the check box for server must authenticate yada yada but it still keeps harraanguing me for the server/email password to send mail , and not sending it. Yeah, the pop/smtp stuff is set up correctly. Prob has something to do with wireless. I’d like to get the browser/mail thing solved as it was great back when i started on the net and had these two functions, browsing and emailing integrated and easy to get to without having to log in to webail or launch a memory-hog email proggie.
UPDATE: I just finished installing it. My connection isn’t that great and I can tell this browses faster. Not crazy about the default colors, but that can probably be changed. Like they said, much for the regular browser stuff you would expect to see is MIA. I’ve yet to find spell-check or the home button.

I can’t remember if this is firefox only or IE as well, there’s probably add-ons for both.

Surge of robberies in the Bay Area and beyond
In the East Bay 6:15 the next morning, two men went on a robbery spree that included five street muggings in Oakland and Emeryville. In one of the robberies, at the Wells Fargo bank on Piedmont Avenue,
the assailants allegedly punched an eight-month pregnant woman in the stomach to get her cash.
Criminologists warn that the faltering economy probably will make matters worse.
“The steep economic downturn of 2007 and 2008 portends a crime rise that may dwarf (recent) increases,”
wrote University of Missouri-St. Louis criminologists Richard Rosenfeld and Brian Oliver, in a paper presented at a national criminal justice conference in July.“Local communities should plan for new crime increases in the years ahead.”
Terri, one of the women accosted by the purse snatchers in the Marina on July 30, said the most frightening thing was that this happened in broad daylight in one of the safest neighborhoods in San Francisco. Yet no one came to her aid as she screamed and struggled with her attacker.

What burns me, is ANY knowledgable probation officer would KNOW this punk was lying. I’m willing to bet the officer did know-but also knew the judge, the DA and the system DID NOT CARE. The are more concerned with “assisting the downtrdden alien” than in preserving law and order. I’m sure it was clear to the probation officer this MAN was a threat to our society and they were helpless to prevent his further depredations upon the innocent CITIZENS of the City.

The INS , with the help of local law enforcement, should go on raids, everywhere, on city streets, in bars, everywhere. I was just in Italy recently, guess what that is what they do! Americans need to wake up! Its funny talking to tourists from Italy, France, they are amazed and dont understand how lax we are. THEY are the ones who created all the mess that the cops must work through….. and when the public finds out about the mess….. they blame the cops….. and people like you fall for their scheme. It wasn’t the cops’ fault…. it was the politicians who should all be recalled and/or UNelected.

these stories, juvenile or adult, are not uncommon, especially considering that most illegals don’t caught. and most don’t get reported on to this degree. remember that the offspring of all illegals vote overwhelmingly Democratic Party. so i ask – why would any Democratic politician be motivated to stop this type of illegal immigration mess? they are not motivated, and we pay the price. si, se puede and all that…

Abby Abinanti really needs to be replaced she is dumb as a doornail. This is the second one where that I have read about where she sides with the criminals over the citizens. This one had red flags all over it. The other one all this had already come to light and she still sided with the criminal. Luckly she didn’t get away with it.

I don’t feel duped, I’ve known all along that our mayor is morally bankrupt. I remember when he would attend the late night televised parties at TV20, intoxicated. Then ducking critical votes on the BOS, then paying off his mistress with public funds so she could go to rehab, the list goes on and on. He should be held accountable, financially and career wise. Didn’t he hire the YGC head? Bad decisions all around.

Leave it to the ignorant bureaucrats at both the City Level and the State Level to create such a mess that the police are forced to accept the word of a liar, drug dealing, gangbanger, ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT during his arrest. Since the government can’t handle what it owns with our public tax money & can’t operate its own self without total screw ups like this, just vote NO on everything they ask for in new $$ money. Vote NO on every thing they ask… regardless if its for “the environment” or “a new fire house.” They waste our money that they steal via “taxation” and help ILLEGALS with it in violation of Federal Law.

Is it any wonder that the Chinese are the new world leaders. It’s hard to swallow the communistic governement controls, but when it comes to crime, they have decided to stop it before it starts ( or at least before it gets out of hand ). Our highly paid government officials are bafoons to the tenth degree. How they could sit and allow for illegal immigrant crack dealers of any age to poison our community is like a bad dream. Look at this article and you will find a tremendous amount of taxpayer dollars are being spent pretending to do something about a real nasty problem. Is there any doubt why there is so much crime in SF? There is no downside to being a criminal in SF. Instead of “living the dream”, our political leaders have created an environment in SF where we are “living the nightmare”.
