Thomas Edison was the greatest inventor who ever lived with over 2,000 inventions patented including the electric light, the phonograph and the motion picture machine. In 1903 the four Warner brothers bought a used Edison Kinetoscope projector for $1,000 and repaired it. They began showing what they called the “magic lantern pictures” on the walls in beer halls.

In 1909  Edison’s General Film Co. sued Warner Brothers for violating their copyright to the motion picture machine and forced them to close their company. At that time, the Warners and other Jews were making illegal films in Brooklyn. They fled Edison’s private detectives for Los Angeles where lax laws let them steal the film business away from Thomas Edison. Later this same skullduggery occurred once again. Two Christian inventors, Lee De Forrest and Theodore Case, came up with the  ‘talking machine’  sound system. The same jewish producers also stole this invention and the jew Al Jolson came out with the first talkie  film ‑ ‘The Jazz Singer.’

We are traveling in the footsteps
Of those who’ve gone before
But we’ll all be reunited (but if we stand reunited)
On a new and sunlit shore (then a new world is in store)

Oh when the saints go marching in
When the saints go marching in
Oh lord I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in

And when the sun refuse (begins) to shine
And when the sun refuse (begins) to shine
Oh lord I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in

When the moon turns red with blood
When the moon turns red with blood
Oh lord I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in

On that hallelujah day
On that hallelujah day
Oh lord I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in

Oh when the trumpet sounds the call
Oh when the trumpet sounds the call
Oh lord I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in

Some say this world of trouble
Is the only one we need
But Im waiting for that morning
When the new world is revealed

Cemetary

And so goes my love affair with Shackleton- (and remote,  uninhabited places)..

One looks at these places, the cabins, the flags, the old supplies still there-

and sees over time, the unending need for “quest” and conquest

 of nature,  yet at the same time, the undeniable

love for the same these explorers have-

the desire to “know” nature, to possess her, to discover her,  be as one with her,

to capture her beauty with  his lens, and yet understand- he will be surprised anew each

time he navigates through her, traverses over her land..

and the respect for those who came before-

and those who did not survive the trip.

~ This guy, Seth White, reading his commentary is great- has a sense of humor :

……I ended up getting a pair of $60 boots from Sportsman’s Warehouse near Denver. I mention this because the music they play over the store’s audio system is abominable. It’s 100% Christian Rock. I don’t have any philosophical objections to this music; I hate it simply because the music itself SUCKS and the lyrics are beyond trite. I mean, can’t these people find new and creative ways to sing songs with Christian themes? Every last band has the same homogenous poppy sound, and every last sonce just goes on and on about how much the lord fills them up inside. OK, right, fine already. It’s even worse than the regurge-o-tron machines that spew out generic country lyrics. At least it’s still better than hip-hop morons that write entire albums about how many ho’s they pimp, how many niggas they shoot, how many drugs they do, and how dangerous they and their homies are… and then never fail to thank God on their album liner notes. And these losers end always their interviews with the word “Peace!”. Yeah sure whatever. At least Christian Rock people are more or less sincere.

 Living where I do, in relatively temperate climate,

with most modern “conveniences” I shouldn’t be longing for cold, desolation wilderness.

I shouldn’t be slavering after dilapidated , abandoned cabins at the South Pole and

obsessing about dead explorers (and inventors- haven’t forgot you , Edison!) and the Arctic/Antarctic..

And yet I do.

Immigration, both legal and illegal, puts huge strain on the country

“Households headed by illegal aliens imposed more than $26.3 billion in costs on the federal government in 2002 and paid only $16 billion in taxes, creating a net fiscal deficit of $10.4 billion, or $2,700 per illegal household,” said Steven A. Camarota, author of the study.

 “With nearly two-thirds of illegal aliens lacking a high school degree, the primary reason they create a fiscal deficit is their low education levels and resulting low incomes and tax payments, not their legal status or heavy use of most social services,” Camarota said.

 Immigrant use of social services might not be a problem if they generally paid more in taxes than native. But the median income of immigrant households is 21 percent lower in California than that of native households, and immigrant households are 36 percent larger on average. The household is the primary unit by which taxes are assessed and services paid. This means immigrants will tend to pay less in taxes than natives and tend to use more in services. This is not the same as saying immigrants do not pay taxes. In fact, even illegal immigrants pay some taxes. However, it does mean they will be a fiscal drain.

 Thanks, S.C. ( he looks like he belongs on the set of “The Soprano’s” , doesn’t he?) , it sure looks like sometimes we just can’t afford to “be nice” and save the whole world all at once. Especially when we aren’t saving anyone, we are sim[ly keeping them in diapers or wiping for them endlessly. They are going to have to either accept their own standard of living and deal with it, or evolve and develop their OWN countries.

Miller Brewing Company of Milwaukee, WI, producers of the popular beer Miller Genuine Draft, has given at least $30,000 to groups that support illegal aliens and illegal immigration so they can march down our city streets making demands of Americans.  Here are the news reports about the deplorable activity by Miller Brewing Company.

When I was a little kid, I used to like that song “Little Boxes”   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Boxes just because it was simple and  like something kindergarten kids would like- as a woman, I don’t like it. It makes fun of suburbia, it makes fun of the “American Dream” , and in doing this, in an insidious way, it makes fun of the life of many American White families – Here it is:

 Malvina Reynolds  “Little Boxes” (1962)

1. Little boxes on the hillside,
Little boxes made of ticky-tacky,
Little boxes, little boxes,
Little boxes, all the same.
There’s a green one and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one
And they’re all made out of ticky-tacky
And they all look just the same.2. And the people in the houses
All go to the university,
And they all get put in boxes,
Little boxes, all the same.
And there’s doctors and there’s lawyers
And business executives,
And they’re all made out of ticky-tacky
And they all look just the same. 3. And they all play on the golf-course,
And drink their Martini dry,
And they all have pretty children,
And the children go to school.
And the children go to summer camp
And then to the university,
And they all get put in boxes
And they all come out the same.

4. And the boys go into business,
And marry, and raise a family,
And they all get put in boxes,
Little boxes, all the same.
There’s a green one and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one
And they’re all made out of ticky-tacky
And they all look just the same.

 I haven’t written the parody of this, called “Big Boxes” about Walmart, but it wouldn’t be hard to do. There’s a lot more to  be contemptuous of  today than families who live in suburbia raising successful kids.

I don’t think we have Wal_Marts , we have “Target”, not sure if they are owned by the same company- was watching a documentary about them, about how they   tell their employees to go get on welfare programs because they know they don’t pay enough for their workers to even afford to buy their health insurance monthly premiums. It was interesting to hear from a worker how when one employee starts talking about unions, they have people fly out to that store and usually the manager gets fired-

http://www.walmartmovie.com/

they also mention stuff about hiring illegals for this or that, and chronicles  many small time business owners who  had to close up shop when WM came to town. Anyway, it appears they treat their people like crap, pay them peanuts- it’s really more like one of those welfare-to-work deals than a real job where you can possibly get someplace. This is about people barely able to eke out an existence.

Holy hell it was pathetic, I even started to pity the various unWhite types.  yeah , I must be a wuss now, I know.  Even if some employees are going to scream “race discrimination” or “they hung a bike in the store! They called me Milk -boy !”(from a blue eyed high yella) – yeah sure some poeple who  work there prob have some racial resentment- but here it is-  just because someone  makes a slur isn’t good enough to be considered “pro_white” , WN, or N/S, etc…

 If the place sucks , it’s going to suck for all the people there- it’s  a new kind of plantation, and whites are in their field  (aisles) as well as everyone else- What I am saying is,  is just because you watch the documentary and see a black or whatever play the race card or  whine about how they didn’t get promoted, don’t jump the gun and think this means “WM is on our side, WM is WN” . I highly doubt that. That’s what I mean about someone says a certain word, and  people automatically “let them in”, they get this knee-jerk affiliation because WNs don’t usually find people willing to express racial views of any kind, so in this isolation , we  miss the other things about these random people that don’t have anything to do with the rest of how we perceive Whiet culture.  These guys who had the small businesses, who spoke about their dedication to their family buisness, who  took care of their people, they may not be “WN” , they may not use this or that word, but they epitomize the old White way, a part of old America that people are going to miss- shopkeepers who  treat people well, whose help can help you.

The big box may be enjoying its day in the sun, but as society becomes even more stratified, and those big boxes more and more become  “undesireable shopping experiences” (you know, what with the loud music, the screaming unsupervised kids, carts with old food and drink in them, when you can get a cart, the constant din of non-English babble, the clerks who can barely  understand how to ring a sale, let alone handle anything not on the main menu, and forget about asking anyone where stuff is on the flooror questions about the merchandise) as this becomes worse at each big box store, (White) people will start avoiding them, even if it means they have to pay more. We already are. That will trigger the death knell of these places as we all know, without at least a  few Whites  really into their work, (you know the type, like over-zealous mall security), without them, the place turns into a shoplifting paradise because of the utter chaos, not to mention a day care, homeless shelter in the eating areas- this happened to a K_mart not far from here. The Whites simply stopped going there , it got so bad with the ghetto atmosphere. Now it’s a Kohls, which I have never set foot in.

 If you don’t have to shop there, don’t.  you probably don’t even realize how little you need from those places. There is no law that just because you saw some ding-dong on TV  make some little wonder-garden or  ‘room-makeover’  , that you have to go out and copy-cat them. People can be terrible copycats, even when they don’t mean to. They just think, “wow , that lady on TV sure made it sound  good, I should do that”  or ” that looks  really great on her, I should buy that dress” , ” that guy sure sounds smart, I should buy his book”.  No, you don’t have to. Stop yourself . Think whether  whatever it is you are itching to go buy is really that relevant to your life, is it worth the trip?  I bet it isn’t. Think for yourself. Come up with your own ideas , non TV inspired.  No it’s not entertaining just turning stuff over  and over in your head, it’s just you , alone with your brain, thinking about stuff.  That IS the entertainment. If you can do this, feel privileged- hey not everyone has the mental firepower to even attempt this at home.

 Back to Wal-Mart and how it sucks (and really , any big box prob sucks).

 You really see how these little  businesses, usually White old dudes, they are talking about how they took care of their  employees, the employees were recounting how  neat it was to work for the small guy, how it was like a family- The contrast was so stark  between the old , White idea of work and how the worker was like an extension of the employer- no more with these big box stores- You see some of this in this clip. Anyway,  there’s lots of big corporate assholes I don’t like,  but I never gave WM much  thought, but now I see it is beyond the fact they don’t pay well, or take care of their employees health care, raking in billions as they are- and the hiring the beaners under the table, sure it is those things too, but when I see the small guy, what we are trading for the big box, it is what the big box represents I am against as much as if not moreso than  their shoddy treatment of its workers (it honestly looked worse to work there than be unemployed) .  It represents the same crap as the throw your kids in daycare, build one huge middle school for all the kids in town,  build one big live/work “mixed use”   condo-behemoth new urbanism caca, the communist “we all fit into ‘this’ mold” , we all shop “here” , we all do “this ” or “that” ,  we all want this  lawn gazebo , Big Box shopping as a weekend family activity (“Let’s go buy  2000 rolls of TP, it’s on sale! Whee!” )  the “herding ” of us-  the “big boxing ” of our fucking lives.  I don’t like it.

angel

 Alienating and being hostile , constantly mocking  Christians does not pay -It’s just not good strategy – As far as numbers go,  these groups know how to put the squeeze of  political & economic pressure on – lots of their issues are our issues- and our enemies KNOW this. These groups some WNs may deem “too mainstream” or “I’m an Odinist, what do I care about Christian groups?” Better think again, these groups believe a lot of the same things WN people believe, who identify as Christian or not. They want the same things , though they probably won’t come out and make it a racial issue, with the things they want, it pretty much has to  end up that way- safe neighborhoods, people helping each other, trust, order rather than chaos, quiet rather than noise, peaceful co-operative living  over constant gang warfare,  depth over shallowness, subtlety rather than  obvious obligatory offensiveness and crudity, originality  rather than derivative, celebrating childrens innocence over Stewie Griffin, spontaneous true laughter rather than cynical, canned pop culture references-

 –  This is not a case of “the enemy of my enemy”…No one is saying you, me, we..have to convert, I am only talking about not open hostility. Not only is it getting old, it is kinda dumb at this stage of the game.  While I recognize there are some things that might make me a lousy Christian (as opposed to WN, though I ain’t perfect there either/)- I also see patterns, the ones I mentioned alove, that many Christians, whether they know it or not, are   decent WNs, if not in name, than in deed-  why then do WNs sometimes shun them when they want many of the same things we do .

Not all Christians are unthinking, rote, humorless, brainwashed-Jesus-body-snatcher -victim,   throw-themselves-under-the-bus-for-everyone-type-people- , some Christians kick ass. Some Christians make  some N/S (or wannabe N/S)  look like wusses, and whether or not you or I are on board or not, they are hardcore true believers and unapologetic about it, know what they are talking about,  their history, etc-  they are not just blowing smoke. Hopefully , you will be hearing  more on this very soon (hint: audio-wise, I ‘m green at this,  & promise I will get better, so go easy on me!).

       In any case,  try to look past the differences as far as spiritual beliefs, look at how they  get stuff done through their powerful networks -they affected change because of their numbers and the fact they have many of these little groups that people are not afraid to be part of. I admire that. I’m not going to run from them or talk gratuitous crap about them because of the religion when I can learn from them politically, when they can help our cause (and do).   Let’s put it this way, even if I am not 100% on board with them, I admire people who believe what they say and walk their talk, and not because  it’s so fun for them. As I said, they tend not to focus on the racial stuff, but pretty much, because of hothe nature of the multi-culti beast,  one simply  can’t have those things in a mixed society- money doesn’t matter, people stll act obnoxiously, they just have enough money to have their houses far enough apart that no one cares, or the Whites simply move to another rich area, or the offending party is forced to tone down their wild instincts because they know the building TIC  or cooperative will conspire to kick them out. Acting like a public ass used to be something to be ashamed of- worse, celebrities seem to vie for the title of most debauched, strung out, anorexic, drunk, bad mom, etc. setting the stage for endless emulation from TV-stoned teens and the “I’m-not-really-a-grown-up” 20’s  groups.   No one 30+ should be caught dead copying celebs and pop culture. Well, at least ‘recent’ pop culture. Recent meaning the last 50 years.

examples: (this is 2005 but  point is the same)

“We are pleased to learn that Target has heard our concerns and decided to use Christmas in their advertising and marketing efforts. Since the company has responded positively, we see no need to continue the boycott,” said AFA Chairman Donald E. Wildmon in a released statement. According to AFA, over 700,000 people had signed an online petition to boycott the company.

     Meanwhile Concerned Women for America presented a list of businesses honoring the “Reason for the Season,” the birth of Jesus. Among the retailers it said were excluding Christmas were Kmart, Home Depot, Kohl’s, Radio Shack and Costco. One company that it noted changed since last year was Macy’s which now includes mentions of “Merry Christmas” in its stores and ads. They also tend to know how to organize , following particular cases and trends in many areas and are very good at political pressure, gathering support, etc. We can take a lesson from this.

 I looked around this same  site (links below)  and found story after story about issues WNs would be interested in -and how these Christians (to differentiate them from the Judeo-Sell-Outs, let us call them “Traditionalist Christians”) have also become a villified and  hated group- as long as they stand for conservative, traditional, family type stuff- it appears they are saying in article after article, the “sell-outs” do not suffer this. Sound familiar much?

What Would Jesus Buy? follows Reverend Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping Gospel Choir as they go on a cross-country mission to save Christmas from the Shopocalypse: the end of mankind from consumerism, over-consumption and the fires of eternal debt!

From producer Morgan Spurlock (SUPER SIZE ME) and director Rob VanAlkemade comes a serious docu-comedy about the commercialization of Christmas.  …Through retail interventions, corporate exorcisms, and some good old-fashioned preaching, Reverend Billy reminds us that we have lost the true meaning of Christmas. What Would Jesus Buy? is a  journey into the heart of America – from exorcising the demons at the Wal-Mart headquarters to taking over the center stage at the Mall of America and then ultimately heading to the Promised Land … Disneyland.

Will we be led like Sheeple to the Christmas slaughter, or will we find a new way to give a gift this Christmas?  What Would Jesus Buy? may just be the divine intervention we’ve all been searching for.

The Shopocalypse is upon us … Who will be $aved?

This is going to pretty pretty dry and involve numbers- if you like that stuff , you might  do better than I at deciphering what these codes mean- We try to boycott certain places for political and other reasons, but  it is not a guarantee when we avoid  products marked with THAT code, that we are still not buying products FROM there- Please, read on, and visit some of these sites!

 I wouldn’t write off still boycotting the places you don’t want to support, meaning continuing to avoid the prefix of places you don’t want to give your money to, but  take a  quick look and see how it is not quite as simple as once thought- Like I said, it is fairly boring, technical stuff, but if you  check this stuff out and come away with  some new and easy way to understand all this, please, send a comment, or post back to me where I have posted this!

Find a tag and don’t know what the item was that was purchased, only have the UPC tag  (bar code) ?  you know,  the thing with all the numbers and lines that the clerk scans at the grocery- Just pick up anything with a code you have around that has a code on it, pretty sure you need to include the tiny numbers at the beginning and end of the code , up to the right and left or it won’t work.

http://en.barcodepedia.com/

Apparently it is easy to generate a code,  here is an online barcode generator.

 http://www.terryburton.co.uk/barcodewriter/generator/

(this  next site started to get  fairly technical the further I got into it, still it is good to get the full list , and find that  it is the country that issued the code ,  but not always the country of origin of the product.  Many times, it is probably one and the same- if you can understand this stuff getting further and further into it, more power to you- maybe you can explain it to me!)

Does the EAN number indicate the country of origin of a product?

No it doesn’t. The 3-digit prefix code indicates which numbering organization has allocated the bank of numbers to the company. For example, a company may have it’s headquarters in South Africa. The EAN organization in South Africa has the code “600”, but all the products of the company may be manufactured in England. The English-made products would still have the “600” prefix code. The prefix code is a way to have 70-plus EAN member organizations issuing numbers without having to worry about duplicate numbers. A list of country codes can be found here.

How Do I Get A List Of All The Product Codes And Their Respective Manufacturers?

This is the second most asked questions here at BarCode 1. Why is this question asked? There are several reasons. If someone is opening up a hardware store, for example, it would save a lot of work to have a database of all the product numbers of the products carried by the store with their descriptions. The store, of course, would still have to enter the selling price for each product. The second reason for such a list is to identify the company that made the product.

There is now a complete, free on-line database that allows anyone to type in a UPC or EAN number and get the company name and address for the product. It is a project developed by GS1 and is called GEPIR. The number contained in the UPC or EAN barcode is now called the Global Trade Item Number or GTIN. You can go directly to the UPC and EAN search page by clicking here. Please note that sometimes GEPIR is down. If you get a “page not available”, try later. Currently, the database does not return the product description. It only returns the company name and address. Some records may contain the telephone number of the company. The web service is based on XML, so it is possible to integrate an application program with this database. That means that it will be possible for a small store to scan the barcode on a product, access GEPIR over the internet, and download product and manufacturer information over the internet to build a local database of products in the store for free. GEPIR is under continuous development and will soon also provide product images, dimensions, carton sizes, tracking and tracing data. This database is open to consumers as well as companies (unlike UCCNet, a project of the Uniform Code Council).

There is a site which provides product descriptions. It’s called the Universal Product Code Database, an on-line database for Universal Product Codes (UPC).

Downloads

Here you can find downloadable copies of the data in the UPC Database. Each full download contains a file of Manufacturers by manufacturer code, and a file of items by UPC. The files are ASCII text, comma-separated values (CSV), without column headings. Text fields are quoted as necessary. These files should easily be readable by MS Access (if that’s your thing), or Text::CSV (if Perl’s your thing). The item file will NOT be readable in full by Excel because of Excel’s limit of 65,535 data rows. The CSV files are bundled together with tar and compressed with gzip. If you still don’t know what any of this means, then there is information for you here.

The incremental downloads are in diff(1) format. The filenames specify the two dates compared to create the diff. If you have an older full download, you can save download time by downloading and applying the diffs (with patch(1)) rather than downloading the entire database. The diff files are compress with gzip(1).

 Lots of people have requested the codes. Here is a partial list. Remember, it indicates the country that issued the code, NOT THE COUNTRY OF ORIGIN OF THE PRODUCT. The authoritative list is here.

Fear of  this is why my oldest son never got baptized.  The Roman Catholic  priest  wouldn’t do it when he was an infant because I wasn’t married to his father , and the same  guy wouldn’t do it at the same time he agreed to baptize his brother ten yrs later , it didn’t matter I was  married, and to a Roman Catholic (this whole baptism thing was not my idea. The priest did not remember me, but I felt bad for my older son at the time, as he knew he was not baptized and here he was watching the family thrill to the site of his baby brother (peeing I hope) in the font. . This priest said my ten yr old was  now “too old” for  regular ‘unconditional” baptism and would have to enroll in some 2 year study program in order to get baptized . By then everyone had heard about the pervert priest problem, and this guy was old  but like 6’5 or so- Fuhggetaboudit.

         Of course, I said no to the 2 year school to get the baptism , I would take my chances with his soul rather than throw him to the lions now-  Yes, I was  miffed  he/parents weren’t perceived as good enough’ to baptize ten years before – but mostly my rejection of this 2 year deal was because I was more afraid of putting my son in the possible the pervy hands than for my son’s soul – this molestation problem many priests seem to have  with young boys. Molestation of young boys- almost synonomous with Catholic priests… because we all know it is a haven for latent/repressed- whoknowswhat. ..which isn’t quite the same thing, although one could say that if one is  a homosexual and raised in a religious environment, they are not going to be Officially Accepted  by most Christian-based faiths, and certainly not Orthodox, but they can just invent their own little  fagostery, so to speak. When they get sick of each other, they go after the young boys. They can’t pick up in society, it could threaten their position and make the church look bad- so they either have to do it in secret, with male hustlers, or if they are afraid to catch something or go to jail, they  prey upon (pray upon?) the young  males in their programs, like altar boys and such.  Keep in mind you almost NEVER  hear of FEMALE victims of Catholic priests, do you? They also likely use  their position as a Priest or ‘Father’ and authority figure  in molesting these boys with  threats of God  punishing them or telling them what they should do, they will get in trouble, humiliation,  Hell, etc.. .It’s f&^king evil, no question. My sons are not going to the Catholic Neverland Ranch, no way in Hell.

               I’m not anti-Christian per se, but I am anti pervy priests, and priests that deny infants baptism based on their parents marital status, then go ahead and baptize their sibling and accept a hefty donation from the Roman Catholic  grandparents..and try to sucker the 10 year old into a 2 year program just to egt baptized.  16 years ago, did I not look like I could write you that same  check that you got for secondo figlio?   Wonder  if he would have pulled that if we had been unmarried  illegal alien parents? So yeah, there’s kind of a personal grudge, but that in no way negates the reality of the pervert worry. Still, it is bad faith to baptize one kid and not his brother, to refuse him a second time -when I thought anybody could be baptized without all these conditions-. That’s just not right.  More and more hypocrisy- makes me also wonder how much of your whole deal is a lie- This Bud’s  for you , Caligari.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I thought this  story was a sick joke, but its not. See, this is as good as the church is going to get in acknowledging their problem. Let’s name it.  The latent or not-so-latent Homo-Molestation Problem. I don’t like the “third person” point of view of the angel-and the direct address to the kid-to “make sure OTHERS KNOW”.. the onus should be on the ADULT, not the child, and normal adults don’t need cartoons to tell them not to perv out on kids.  They shouldn’t be spending time and energy making coloring books warning children about “how to be safe” – they should get the hell away from the children,  and if not, their parents certainly should wake up and smell the incense.
So it  follows that.. should your kid even BE THERE at all? Whatever benefit he could derive from the religious teaching  would be eroded by the manipulation and abuse. Common , logical sense. Not Rocket Science. Come on, if there is this serious of a danger, a higher than “normal” chance of having someone be a sicko, I mean, people are so worried about the soccer coach, but say the odds are way more in the soccer coach’s favor that he ok, versus the priesthood-  I mean, at least the soccer coach has a chance to have relationships with other grown ups, whatever his ..ummm, ‘orientation’ may be. Anyway, there it is, below-
addendum: and Bernie, another  former priest turned popular bay area radio host-Bernie Ward-  you suck too. I used to listen to your blatherings when I would drive home late at night from my crap job at Tower Records,  like 20 years ago or more. I thought you were an OK guy then, even if I wasn’t very political.  You make me glad I have moved closer to the right…and no one is going to believe your little “research story” excuse. sicksicksicksicksick
I just thought it was funny,” Shapiro, a self-described “unobservant Jew,” said. “I wasn’t offended in any way. I just thought, here’s somebody who knows nothing about what Jews eat.”
Shapiro said that when she went back to the store Tuesday, the first night of Chanukah, the signs had vanished.
A Balducci’s official was so verklempt about the error he didn’t want to speak on the record. He fessed up that “it was a mistake,” blaming it on a stock clerk who normally doesn’t work the meat department.
Master surfer cheats death in biggest swell of season at Maverick’s
Riding the Waves at Mavericks, SF coast, these guys are nuts.
“Definitely the worst wipeout I’ve seen,” said photographer Frank Quirarte, whose stunning still images (more on http://www.mavsurfer.com) captured a session not even visible for fog-shrouded spectators on land. “There was a lot of stoke in the air, guys hooting each other’s rides, but when Flea went down, everything just stopped. We all thought he was dead.”
Washburn, filming from close range, said he felt sick as he pondered the consequences. Grant “Twiggy” Baker, the South African who won the 2006 Maverick’s contest, called it unsurvivable.
Two of Canada’s leaders on opposite sides of the Internet hate debate — Ottawa anti-racism lawyer Richard Warman and controversial Toronto teacher Paul Fromm — plan to go toe to toe in a hearing room in Toronto.
The twist: Warman just won a $30,000 libel suit against Fromm. Besides owing Warman, Fromm also owes about $50,000 in legal costs.
Fromm is scheduled to cross-examine Warman at the Canadian Human Rights Commission hearing.
“I think it is more of a problem for him than it is for me,” Warman said.
“It will get even more interesting,” Fromm said. “I have a job to do as best as I can.”
Fromm is the leader of several groups, based in Toronto, opposed to immigration from Third World countries and multiculturalism.
Canadians who do not like their hate-speech policy, it turns out, are not free to call censors unflattering things.
Let me rephrase. Canadians are not free to call censors “enemies of free speech.” Even if, by the clear meaning of the English language (as well as by American standards) that’s what hate-speech censors are, just because they’re censors: Enemies of free speech.
Yes, in Canada you may not speak the truth about free speech to its official enemies. In Canada, the reason why we must defend even the most vile speech and writing becomes clear: because suppression of it eventually leads to the inability to criticize government.
You know you’ve lost your freedom when you cannot call a censor a censor.
But here in the United States, we can. Well, at least for now.
You probably were aware that life sucks for Palestinians, but maybe you didn’t know it was getting worse. Occupied Palestine (AKA artificial land of Israel) denies or delays medical care , even children die just because Israel won’t let them in for treatment, they also have significantly cut down on food exported to Gaza, fuel, children are dying of treatable diseases like chickenpox and failure to thrive syndrome. Read these stories, it will piss you off when you think of how Americans are supposed to let everyone in and provide for them, crappy borders, beaners dropping kids at every red light- but our “friend” Israel, well, she will have none of that “give us your poor, your weak , huddled masses” crap, that’s for us dumb goyim.
In September, Israel declared Gaza a “hostile entity,” stepping up attacks on the coastal strip and cutting large quantities of fuel supplies to the 1.4-million-strong population which is dependant on Israel for many basic needs, from water to medication.
Israel cites security reasons for all its actions against the Gaza Strip, namely preventing Palestinian resistance factions from firing homemade rockets onto nearby Israeli towns.
However, in the words of Weingarten, “It is not a matter of security, it’s rather a matter of revenge.”
Supplies of 91 out of 416 essential drugs have run out, as have about a third of essential medical supplies, according to the Gaza ministry of health and the WHO. For example, most children’s antibiotics have run out.
Also, some 3,600 chronic psychiatric patients have had their treatment stopped, as over half of the needed medicines are no longer available, according to the UN Children’s Fund and WHO statistics published by the UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
Omar Barghouti:  No State Has the Right to Exist as a Racist State
http://www.voltairenet.org/article153536.html
 Excerpts from the  article
After September 11th, Israel became much more belligerent and now really cares little about international opinion. During the seventies and eighties, even into the nineties, Israel was extremely sensitive to western public opinion. In the twenty-first century however, Israel has become less and less sensitive, because of its enormous power and its unparalleled influence on Washington, which remains the political master of the Europeans. And that is how Israelis look at things. “We have Washington in our pocket, who cares what the Europeans want?”….
I see it as the beginning of the end of Zionism itself. Israel and Zionism have lost whatever international respect and admiration they once had. They are steadily becoming pariahs. Israel, a state whose incessant ethnic cleansing and criminal dehumanization of the Palestinians is more or less out in the open, is now solely reliant on bullying, intellectual terror and arm-twisting of the international community and elected officials in the West to achieve its objectives. People around the world do not like or support Zionism, as several recent polls have shown; they are simply afraid of Zionism, and the difference is huge.
In the fifties and sixties of the last century, Europeans used to love Israel, the romanticized home of the kibbutz, as a beacon of “liberal democracy” in a region swarming with autocracy and “backwardness.” Europeans, after all, helped build Israel, in more ways than one; and they looked at it, ever since, as their «baby» in the middle of a «barbaric sea of Arabs». Israel was perceived as the enlightened, white, civilized entity in the middle of this jungle of unruly, brown natives of the South.
And while many Europeans have yet to be liberated from this racist, colonial attitude towards Arabs, Israel today has very little sympathy in Europe or anywhere else in the world. It has protégés that are handsomely paid, and extremely effective political lobbies that are very well oiled. With such tools, Israel has managed to dictate the discourse, the political line, in the European mainstream media, parliaments and power milieus.
Like their American counterparts, European officials are now often faced with the tough choice of duly following the official Israeli line or losing their careers – and, frequently, their reputations as well. European complicity in maintaining Israeli occupation and oppression is accordingly secured through threats, intimidation, bullying, not persuasion. This is the most significant loss historically, for Zionism. It has squandered the sympathy it once enjoyed and entirely lost its ability to touch the hearts and minds of people, even in the West. Zionism now gets what it wants only by the stick.
 “Poor Boy’s Game”
 Poor Boy’s Game ends with a boxing match that becomes a symbol of both racial tension and psychological damage among the down-and-out of Halifax. Donnie Rose (Rossif Sutherland, Donald’s other son) is a young man with “anger management issues” who 10 years earlier was convicted of beating a young black man into brain damage, partly because “he was calling me a faggot and stuff.” Now Donnie is getting out of jail, perhaps a changed man: We see him, for instance, having sex with his black cellmate, a bit of irony that lends the drama a note of ambiguity.
Waiting for Donnie on the outside are his posse of shuffling racists — the kind of young men who stand a little too close and shift constantly from one leg to the other, which is a kind of violence-in-waiting — and the enemy: a black community that wants revenge, and its weapon is Ossie Paris (Flex Alexander), a promising young boxer who challenges Donnie to a bout in which he plans to slowly beat to death his white-trash opponent.
Poor Boy’s Game takes place in the side streets and gyms of Halifax, shown as a gritty cauldron of racism(Donnie and his friends work as security guards at a dance club that regularly keeps out the black customers.)……
