This one is rather long, I think it was near 40 pages in “A Book of Famous Fairy Tales” published in 1938. Took me a while to read it, but didn’t time it.
No kid could possibly stay awake through this, however, it would make a great horror tale for adults if adapted.

thanks, M. I really enjoy reading these stories. For now, it’s an escape, but it is also practice for other stuff I plan to do. I’m working on a story right now called “Revisionist Mystery” .
